in response to kids are cold... Hi, I dont know if you have read any of my other posts to people on here a lot of car problems arent as bad or hard to fix on your own which would save you a great deal of money in the long run, "teach a man to fish..." kind of thing. First of all, If you don't mind of course. 1. Make and Model of your van. 2. Specifics: mileage, driving habits, past problems etc. 3. What do you mean about to die? describe as best as you can, noises, lack of power, hard to steer, dies at stoplights, etc. 4. When you say "no heat" does that mean when you turn the switch on the fan blows (air actually comes out of the vents) but it just isn't warm? Or is it nothing happens, no air no nothing? If you get air but no heat, 99 out of 100 its your thermostat, very simple and easy to do and requires usually very basic tools. Beginner Auto tech students get asked to do these types of jobs. If there is no air blowing at all, it most likely an electrical problem, a fuse, switch, or relay, again very simple to do and not to be overwhelmed by. If you"d like anymore advice or help just let me know. Hope this helps in someway.
