FREE CARS AND FREE CAR REPAIR HELP

in response to sickofgettingnohelp...   Well normally i would give u advice on how to change it yourself but obviously some situations are a bit more extreme than others. If you need to get some work done to your car for cheap but dont want any old yahoo doing it for you, then try the local highschool or community college. they usually have auto tech classes where young people are learning to work on cars. Of course they are under the supervision of the instructor so quality is not usually a problem. Also if that does not work for you then try posting an help needed ad at a local church, at least one member is usually mechanically inclined enough to pull this type off. Also remember to purchase the part yourself from a local auto parts store to save an extra dime or two. Good luck, any further questions let me know. Hope this helps.

FREE CARS AND FREE CAR REPAIR HELP

in response to kids are cold...   Hi, I dont know if you have read any of my other posts to people on here a lot of car problems arent as bad or hard to fix on your own which would save you a great deal of money in the long run, "teach a man to fish..." kind of thing. First of all, If you don't mind of course. 1. Make and Model of your van. 2. Specifics: mileage, driving habits, past problems etc. 3. What do you mean about to die? describe as best as you can, noises, lack of power, hard to steer, dies at stoplights, etc. 4. When you say "no heat" does that mean when you turn the switch on the fan blows (air actually comes out of the vents) but it just isn't warm? Or is it nothing happens, no air no nothing? If you get air but no heat, 99 out of 100 its your thermostat, very simple and easy to do and requires usually very basic tools. Beginner Auto tech students get asked to do these types of jobs. If there is no air blowing at all, it most likely an electrical problem, a fuse, switch, or relay, again very simple to do and not to be overwhelmed by. If you"d like anymore advice or help just let me know. Hope this helps in someway.

FREE MONEY TO HELP PAY FOR YOUR NEEDS

in response to Hoping4honesty...   there is a good sense of accomplishment that comes with fixing it yourself, plus tge money you save. When you say bogging do you mean under acceleration , at a stop? does the engine rev but the car doesnt respond? describe it as fully as possible. also which motor is in it and when was your last use up?(sparkplugs, fuel filter air filter, etc.

FREE CARS AND FREE CAR REPAIR HELP

in response to alohapeeps...   are you sure it's the fuel pump? alot of times a relay goes bad and the pump is unnecessarily replaced. (if your has an electric fuel pump that is, which most fairly modern cars do.) also the relay is cheap and really easy to do. the first step is to either you or a friend turn your key to the on position (the last spot right before you start the motor) with the gas cap off listen for a humming sound. it last for 3 to 5 seconds and then stops. if you don't hear this the relay is probably bad and doesn't cost anywhere near the same as fuel pump. if you do hear this noise the next thing to do is check for fuel pressure, this is done pretty easily at the fuel filter. check for the relay first and then let me know what yo have found out. also specifics on your car would be appreciated and I could do my homework on your specific vehicle.
